Summary

Three Years of Applied AI, Built in Production

I single-handedly do the work of a full engineering team. 3+ years of applied AI in production: LLM-augmented legal research and case analysis, AI-driven emergency management planning for tribal governments, on-premises inference hardware architecture and installation, and open-source tooling shipped for regulated industries. Founder of Island Mountain AI, a sovereign H100/H200 on-premises inference server company. Creator of Lamprey, an open-source LLM coding IDE, and Lamprey MAI, a Rust-based inference governance layer with OpenBao trust gating. Author of a white paper submitted to the Homeland Security Affairs Journal on the gap between AI-agentic operational capability and CPG 201 federal emergency planning doctrine. Certified across the full Anthropic platform stack, from API fundamentals through Model Context Protocol advanced topics. I know this stack and pipeline the way you know your own hands.

Experience

Professional Experience

Co-Founder, AI Systems, Business Development & Product

Mar 2026 - Present

Island Mountain · Northern California

  • Designed, built, and maintain islandmountain.io single-handedly: a 49-page hand-coded static site (no framework, no build step) that scores 100 Performance, 100 SEO, and 100 Best Practices on desktop Lighthouse, 98 Performance on mobile, and 98 Accessibility.
  • Engineered the site's AI-answer-engine layer: roughly 100 validated JSON-LD structured-data blocks across 49 pages, plus an llms.txt, Speakable markup, and six direct-answer pages built for ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity citation. From zero domain authority, the site indexed and began ranking for targeted long-tail queries (air-gapped AI by vertical, DeepSeek V4 specs, H200 vs H100) within ten weeks of launch.
  • Shipped Lamprey, an open-source Electron LLM coding IDE with a Planner-Coder-Reviewer agent pipeline, MCP integration, DeepSeek R1, Qwen3, Gemma, and OpenRouter backend support, and local SQLite persistence, distributed at islandmountain.io/lamprey.
  • Stood up the full delivery pipeline: migrated DNS and hosting to Cloudflare, configured Pages CI from GitHub, and serve 250 to 300MB signed Electron builds from an R2-backed CDN at cdn.islandmountain.io.
  • Engineered Lamprey MAI, a Rust-based compliance inference governance layer with a Tock-kernel-derived inference engine and OpenBao trust gate envelope for air-gapped regulated-industry deployments.
  • Drove product, sales, and business development for the Summit Series H100/H200 line ($75K to $400K) across eleven regulated verticals; built the financial model (market sizing, margin analysis, three-scenario projections) and structured a $750K SAFE raise.

OES Planning Specialist

Aug 2025 - Present

Yurok Tribe Office of Emergency Services · Weitchpec, California

  • Authored more than 73 standalone emergency management deliverables in ten months as the sole OES planning specialist, running AI-augmented research and drafting pipelines to sustain an output rate that most jurisdictions split across several positions.
  • Wrote 12 Hazard Mitigation Plan annex chapters in four months, against the 12 to 18 months most planning contractors budget for comparable scope, spanning earthquake, tsunami, dam failure, wildfire, flood, and seven more hazard categories with current climate projections and tribal infrastructure exposure analysis.
  • Authored more than $26M in federal and state grant proposals since August 2025 across tsunami vertical evacuation, climate resilience, wildfire evacuation, prairie restoration, and EPA smoke preparedness, and built the 38-department crosswalk mapping every tribal department to all 15 FEMA Emergency Support Functions and 7 Community Lifelines.
  • Drafted the first sovereign tribal emergency declaration for Sudden Oak Death in the United States, and authored the TsunamiReady plan and qualifying evacuation drill that secured the Tribe's National Weather Service TsunamiReady designation.

AI-Augmented Legal Research & Prompt Engineering Practitioner

May 2023 - Aug 2025

Independent Practice · Remote

  • Applied large language models to legal research, case law synthesis, brief drafting, and document analysis for over two years, building deep prompt engineering expertise in high-stakes professional writing.
  • Designed multi-step prompt pipelines for statutory and regulatory analysis, precedent chain distillation, and attorney-ready draft language across civil, administrative, and tribal law domains.
  • Authored a white paper (under review, Homeland Security Affairs Journal) on structural deficiencies in CPG 201 emergency planning doctrine relative to AI-agentic operational capabilities.
  • Built AEO, GEO, and technical SEO strategies for multiple clients, including lead generation conversion systems across regulated and municipal service markets.
