Island Mountain sells data sovereignty hardware. It would be contradictory to surveil the people visiting our website. This privacy policy reflects that principle: we collect the minimum data necessary to respond to your inquiries and to understand how visitors use this site, and nothing more.
Contact form submissions. When you submit the form on our Contact page, you provide your name, email address, organization name, and message. This information is processed by FormSubmit.co (a third-party form handling service) and delivered to us via email at [email protected]. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site - which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and what devices and browsers are used. GA4 collects this data through cookies it sets on your browser (see the Cookies section below). Google processes this data on our behalf. We do not enable Google's advertising features, and we do not link analytics data to any personally identifiable information you provide through our contact form.
Cost worksheet & build-slot requests. When you request the emailed cost worksheet or claim a build slot, you provide contact details (your email; for slot claims also your name, phone number, and organization) plus the inputs you entered (team size, cloud spend, workload notes). These are processed by our own edge service (Cloudflare Worker), stored in our private lead records, and used to send you the material you asked for and to follow up on your request - nothing else.
AI assistant (chat & voice). Our website offers an AI assistant you can chat or speak with. If you use it, we process the messages you send (or, for voice, a transcript and optionally a recording of the call) and any details you choose to share - such as your name, email, organization, industry, timeline, budget range, and compliance needs - so we can answer your questions and, if you ask, prepare a quote or schedule a call. Qualified inquiries are stored in our own lead records and a private spreadsheet. The conversation is sent to Anthropic (the AI model provider) to generate replies and, for voice, to Vapi (the voice provider); it is processed to respond to you and is not used to train third-party models. You are never required to use the assistant - the contact form remains available and you should not enter information you would not put in writing.
We do not run retargeting pixels. We do not collect behavioral data beyond the analytics described above. We do not sell, share, or trade any information you provide.

FormSubmit.co processes contact form submissions. When you submit a form, your data passes through their servers before being emailed to us. FormSubmit.co's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Fonts and icons (Inter typeface and Remixicon icons) are self-hosted on this domain. No requests are made to Google, jsDelivr, or any other CDN to load these assets. Your browser downloads them directly from islandmountain.io.
GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub may collect server logs including IP addresses as part of their standard hosting operations. See GitHub's privacy statement for details.
Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-R674E394D4) collects aggregated usage data including pages visited, session duration, approximate geographic region, device type, and browser type. GA4 sets cookies on your browser to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. Google processes this data on servers in the United States. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Anthropic provides the AI model that powers the chat and voice assistant. Messages you send to the assistant are processed by Anthropic to generate replies. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.
Cloudflare runs the serverless backend (Workers, KV, D1) that operates the assistant and stores conversation sessions and lead records. Cloudflare may process IP addresses for security and rate-limiting.
Vapi powers the optional AI voice assistant, including call audio, transcription, and (where retained) recordings.
Resend delivers our transactional emails (such as your information pack or our reply to a qualified inquiry). Cal.com handles scheduling if you book a call. Google Sheets stores qualified lead records privately for our team.
Google Search Console is used to monitor how the site appears in search results. This does not involve any tracking code on the website itself - it operates through a verification file and Google's own search index data.

Beyond these analytics cookies, we do not set any additional cookies. We self-host all fonts and icons, so no external CDN requests are made that could set cookies on your behalf. You can block these cookies through your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
Contact form submissions are retained in our email system for the purpose of responding to inquiries and maintaining a record of business communications.
AI assistant conversations are held in a short-lived session store that expires automatically within about seven days. If a conversation results in a qualified inquiry, the lead details (and, for voice, the transcript and any recording) are retained in our private lead records so we can follow up, as we would with any business inquiry. To have your assistant or lead data deleted, email us (see Your Rights).
If you have submitted a contact form and want your information deleted, email [email protected] and we will remove your data from our email records.
This website is directed at business purchasers of enterprise AI hardware. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
If we change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the page itself.
